Where is Zitla Playa?
On Calle 12 Norte between avenues 15 and 20, in downtown Playa del Carmen. It's a hidden courtyard a few blocks from the noise: look for the palm tree sign and walk right in.
What kind of food do you serve?
Comfort food: house made burgers, mega sized burritos, wings and boneless bites with our own sauces, tacos on blue corn tortillas, tostadas and specials like the Crispy Tender. There are vegetarian options too.
What are the opening hours?
We open every day from 12:00 pm to 11:00 pm. If you have any questions, message us on WhatsApp and we will reply right away.
Do I need a reservation?
It's not required, but in high season and on live music nights it's a good idea. Message us on WhatsApp at +52 984 873 3315 and we will confirm right away. Your table is held for 15 minutes past your reservation time.
What dish can't I miss?
The Hamburger Zitla: 3 stories of beef, onion rings, bacon and two cheeses. And the Crispy Tender, the king of Zitla. If you show up truly hungry, start there.
Do you have vegetarian options?
Yes: Cauliflower Wings, Vegetarian Burrito, Buena Honga tostada, vegetarian fajitas and guacamole. Let us know about allergies or restrictions and we will guide you.
Is it expensive?
No. We are honest cooking with generous portions, in downtown Playa but without inflated prices. Check the full menu on this site and see for yourself.
Do you take large groups?
Yes. Message us on WhatsApp in advance, tell us how many you are and we will set up the table in the courtyard. To keep things simple, we can split the bill per person or per couple. And if you are planning a big party, a wedding ice breaker or a farewell, we organize that too.

Is it a tourist spot?
It's the hidden gem where the locals eat, and that's the best thing that can happen to a visitor. Honest comfort food, murals, live music and warm service. If you want to eat where the locals eat in Playa del Carmen, this is the place.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept cash in pesos and US dollars, plus Visa, Mastercard and American Express.
Is there parking?
We don't have our own parking lot. We are right downtown, so the easiest way is to walk or bike. If you drive, there are public parking lots a few blocks away.
Is it pet friendly?
Yes, we are pet friendly. Your four legged friend is welcome in the courtyard. Let us know when you book and we will find you the best table.
